Center for Transnationals' Studies

Center for Transnationals' Studies of Nankai University, established in Aug.1992, is a university key base for national social science and humanities research in China, approved by Ministry of Education in Sept.2000.

The Center, acclaimed as one of the most influential academies in terms of TNCs studies in China, is staffed with 11 research fellows, 10 of which are authorized as doctoral supervisors. Besides, there are 11 part time research fellows working for the Center.

The Center, as a national research base for TNCs, is making an effort to establish)endeavors to be a world top-grade research center, and commits itself to the study of TNCs development. So far it has produced a lot of research papers concerning various aspects of TNCs, such as impact of TNCs on China economic development, related policy implications, which draw much attention from both academia and government agencies. Since its establishment, it has submitted many important consultant reports to governments at various levels, with focus on TNCs impact on China economy and related policies.

The center has attached much attention to the training of senior scholars. To educate the M. A. or PhD students in accordance with international level, our center encourages them to take part in research programs, so that they will be theoretically and practically qualified for China's economic development.

As a main academic exchange base in terms of TNCs studies in China, our center has a group of scholars and experts who are well known not only home but also abroad, and many excellent talented young scholars, together with the good facilities for studies and education. Our center has established long-term academic relationship with some national and international organizations, especially some international agencies.
