Nankai-Birmingham Joint Programs
Including two types of “double master’s degrees” and “single master’s degree”
“Double master’s degrees” are open to the postgraduate students from School of Economics, Nankai University. Students receive the certificate of master’s degree from the University of Birmingham after studying in this university in UK during the first academic or the second academic year in Nankai and completing the postgraduate thesis according to the requirement of University of Birmingham. Later, the students return to Nankai University to continue their study in postgraduate courses, pursue the rest credits, pass the graduation thesis and its defense required by Nankai, and receive the master’s degree and diploma. (Note: According to the regulations of Postgraduate College, the credits acquired in Birmingham University may replace part of the credits from the courses in Nankai.)
“Single master’s degree” is the program open to the undergraduate students from the School of Economics. The students are recommended to the University of Birmingham to pursue the master’s degree according to the principle of merit-based enrollment. The students acquire the master’s degree from the Birmingham University after completing the postgraduate courses and thesis according to this university’s requirement.
