Nankai-Alberta 3+1+1 Joint Program
The School of Economics signed the “Nankai-Alberta 3+1+1” undergraduate-graduate program agreement with University of Alberta in 2014. After completing first 3 years of study as undergraduates in Nankai University, selected by the School and with the relevant eligibilities, the applicant may study in University of Alberta in the fourth year as a visiting student. In the fourth year of undergraduate program, namely the first year in University of Alberta, after finishing all courses as required and the Nankai University’s graduation thesis, passing the graduation thesis defense, and acquiring the bachelor’s degree from Nankai University, the applicant may apply for the postgraduate program of economics in University of Alberta. The applicant may gain the master’s degree of Economics from this University after one year study and passing the relevant examinations. As for the relevant tuition standards, please refer to the standards published on University of Alberta’s official website. The grants are offered according to the number of applicants in the first year. After finishing the undergraduate program, the applicant may apply for scholarship in the second year in University of Alberta, namely the first year in postgraduate program.
