Recently, Assistant Professor Xu Xue has had a paper published in Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (SSCI), coauthored by Professor Potters and Professor Suetens of Tilburg University in the Netherlands. The paper is titled "Cooperative Versus Competitive Interactions and In-group Bias".

In this paper, they used the laboratory experiment to study the effect of interpersonal non-contact interaction on intra-group preference in allocation decision-making. The study designed two experimental groups and a control group. There were interaction factors in the experimental group and the opposite in the control group. The study found that cooperative interaction eliminates in-group preference, but competitive interaction only reduces prosociality in a general sense, and in-group preference itself has no significant effect.
