Recently, the Struggle and Innovation: Economic Theory and Practice in 70 Years of New China was published by the Economic Science Press. This book is written by Professor Pang Jinju, the chief expert of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Socialist Economic Construction with Chinese Characteristics, and several researchers of Nankai University.

According to the introduction, the book has several innovative features. In terms of content, on the basis of reflecting the 70 years of exploration and glorious achievements of the founding of new China, there is a number of major issues in this book to strengthen the interpretation of practice with economic theory. In terms of architecture, a thematic discussion is adopted. From the basic point of view, it is essentially the view that the Communist Party of China leads the people to carry out practical exploration of socialist construction in the two historical periods before and after the reform in the 70 years of new China. In methodology, the book adheres to dialectical materialism and historical materialism.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the academic team of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics at Nankai University has been doing their best to carry out scientific research while preventing epidemic.
