Nankai- Cheju Halla 2+2 Joint Program
This Program aims to train practical and compound middle and senior international economics talents with a high level of economic theory and practical skills, international vision, and cross-cultural communication and cooperation ability that meet the demand of modern globalization and world economic development.
It is based on the common education curriculum of both schools. Non-Chinese current students enrolled in the four-year bachelor's degree program at the Division of International Hotel and Tourism (Department of International Business) Cheju Halla University will receive a bachelor's degree from Nankai University and a bachelor's degree from Cheju Halla University after completing the first two years of their studies in Cheju Halla University and the second two years in Nankai University.
Students participating in the Program must meet all of the following requirements:
(1) Non-Chinese current students who have formally registered in the four-year bachelor's degree courses at the Division of International Hotel and Tourism (Department of International Business) Cheju Halla University, and non-Chinese current students from other divisions and departments who have formally registered in the four-year bachelor's degree courses recommended by the Division of International Hotel and Tourism (Department of International Business) Cheju Halla University;
(2) Students who have been approved by the International Academic Exchange Division and School of Economics of Nankai University and obtained the program qualification and completed the registration of international students before September of the year of their admission to Cheju Halla University.
(3) Students who have completed the first two years of courses specified by the training program in the Division of International Hotel and Tourism (Department of International Business) Cheju Halla University, with the Chinese ability up to HSK 5 or above.
The exchange period is two years.
The target students must complete the two years of courses in Cheju Halla University and then study in the School of Economics of Nankai University in the fifth semester according to the common education curriculum regulated by the two schools.
The target students may choose to give up studying abroad halfway and cancel their international student status at Nankai University. Those who give up halfway and continue to study relevant courses in Cheju Halla University can receive a bachelor's degree from Cheju Halla University according to regulations.
Nankai University, in accordance with relevant regulations, will issue a graduate certificate and a bachelor's degree certificate of Economics of Nankai University to students who meet the requirements for graduation and degree-awarding.
Students who participate in the Program have the responsibility of paying tuition to each party. In the period of studying at Nankai University, the students are required to pay the two-year tuition according to the current tuition payment standard for international students in Nankai University. If the students postpone their graduation in Nankai University, the tuition fees shall be subject to the fee management policy for international students in Nankai University.
Nankai University will provide accommodation for international students and the accommodation fees should be borne by the students.
Air tickets, meals, transportation, medical expenses, and other expenses required for the exchange are borne by the students.
To solve the problem of medical expenses, exchange students must join the international student insurance, with relevant expenses borne by the students.
Nankai University will provide exchange students with a library and other school facilities for study and life. Exchange students will enjoy the same treatment as the students of Nankai University.
