Brief Biography
Jinju Pang, Professor of economy, doctoral tutor, used to be former deputy secretary and vice president of Nankai University, the Ministry of education Economics discipline teaching steering committee respectively. Now he is Dean of Collaborative Innovation Center for China Economy and Dean of Center for Political and Economic research at Nankai University, key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Ministry of Education. He is the convener of the review group of the Marx doctrine theory subject of the degree committee of the State Council. He is also the chief expert of Advisory Committee on the research and construction of the central Marx theory, and of the editorial group on the book The Basic Principles of Marxism. Professor Pang Jinju graduated from the Institute of Economics of Nankai University in 1984 and then started his teaching career in Nankai University until now. He was promoted to to associate professor in 1988 and to professor in 1991. In 1993, he began to guide the doctoral students. During these time, he went abroad to visit and lecture in America, Canada, Germany, France, Australia and the Republic of Korea for many times. From January to June in 2000, he was hired as a professor in Waseda University. Professor Pang Jinju has studied the teaching and researching of Economics for a long time. His research interests include basic theory of Marxist Economics, so-cialist market economy and China’s economic system reform, macroeconomic operation and regulation and et cetera. He has cultivated more than 50 Ph. D in Economics, published more than 20 monographs and published more than 200 papers. His representative works include “Political Economics” “Fluctuation and Ad-justment of Economy”“Selected Works of Pang Jinju” “China’s Microeco-nomic Operation and Regulation in the Reform and Opening up Process ” “Step into the Socialist Market” et cetera. More than ten achievements of Professor Pang’s have been awarded by the state and ministries. Two of them have been awarded the first prize of national teaching achievement of higher education: “Political Economics” as chief editor and “The Theory and Exploration of Cultivation of Talents in Economic Innovation”over which Professor Pang presided. The monograph “The Inhe-ritance and development of Mars’s labor theory of value ” won the China Ex-cellent Publications (Books) award. “Selected Works of Pang Jinju” won Tian-jin Philosophy and Social Science Special Award. In 2006, Professor Pang has been entitled as national “Outstanding Professional and Technical Personnel” by CPC Central Committee Department, the Chugeen-tral Propaganda Department, the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Per-sonnel, Ministry of Science and Technology. His academic achievements have been included into “Overview of Academic Achievement of Chinese Scientists in 20th Century ”(Economics).
