(Correspondent: Zhang Wei) In the morning of October 16, Prof. Chang Xiu-ze from the China Institute of Macroeconomics gave a talk entitled" Under the Big Change of the World, what should China Do? Neutral, Rational and Inclusive: A Mode of Thinking in Economic Theory Research” in NKIE (Nankai Institute of Economics) Bi-weekly Academic Seminar.
Prof. Chang Xiu-ze first reviewed the history of Moganshan Conference. He believes that the theory of neutrality of commodity economy, which Prof. Gu Shu-tang proposed in 1980s, is the key to embrace new economics ideas. He then elaborated the thinking of neutrality to the philosophical level. In the exposition of rationality, he believes that it is necessary to maintain a strategic balance in a complex system. In the discussion of inclusiveness, he believes that a socialism with Chinese characteristics and a community with a shared future for mankind are united. That is, the civilization under the great change should be equal, pluralistic and inclusive.
