Professor Bin Sheng and Associate Professor Qilin Mao Won the First prize of the "Business Development Research Achievement Award" of the Ministry of Commerce

(Correspondent: Zhao Hong) Recently, the results of the selection of the Business Development Research Achievement Award (2018/2019) organized by the Ministry of Commerce were announced. A total of 2 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 35 excellent awards. Professor Bin Sheng and Associate Professor Qilin Mao’s coauthored paper Is Import Trade Liberalization Affecting the Complexity of China's Manufacturing Export Technology (the original article is published in the top Chinese economic journal World Economy, Issue 12, 2017) have won the first prize. This is the first time that Nankai University has won the first prize.

The Business Development Research Achievement Award is a national-oriented social science award established by the Ministry of Commerce. It aims to strengthen business strategy and policy research, prosper business theory, encourage units and individuals in the country to engage in business theory, policy research, and practical work, accelerate the cultivation of business research talents and establish and improve the mechanism and mechanism of scientific research in the business field. The report category and the policy research category cover four fields including world economy, international trade, circulation economy and business law. It is the most authoritative ministerial government award in China's business field.
