(Correspondent: Zhong Yiming) On April 14th, 2020, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of major projects approved by the National Social Science Fund in the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC central committee.

A total of 5 projects from Nankai University are on the list, ranking the fourth in China. Among them, School of Economics has 3 projects approved, including “Research on Accelerating the Development of Pilot Free Trade Zones, Free Trade Ports and Other Open Areas” by Professor Tong Jiadong, “Research on Improving the Capacity of Central Cities and Urban Agglomerations in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to Carry Comprehensive Loads and Optimize the Allocation of Resources” by Professor Liu Binglian, “Research on External Financial Shock Emergency System under Deep Opening” by Professor Liu Xiaoxin.
