4 Major Projects Granted the Approval of National Social Science Foundation

(Correspondent: Yamei Lu) A few days ago, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Science officially announced the list of major projects of the National Social Science Fund in 2019, and Nankai University was approved for 6 projects.
This time, the project “The Research on the Motive Force, Mechanism and Policy of Technology Change from the Perspective of Marxism” on which professor Duan Wenbin of the School of Economics served as the chief expert, and “The Study on China-Africa Capacity Cooperation under the Background of the“ Belt and Road ”and South-South Cooperation” on which professor Ronglin Li of the School of Economics served as the chief expert successfully won the bid and each project was approved with a grant of 800,000 yuan. The project “The Research on China's Relative Poverty after 2020 Based on a Multi-dimensional Perspective” on which professor Ma Caichen of the School of Economics served as the chief expert, and “The Research on the Reform of China's Budget Performance Management in the New Era” on which professor Zhou Yunbo of the School of Economics served as the chief expert also successfully won the bidding with a grant of 600,000 yuan for each.
The National Social Science Fund Major Project is approved and established by the National Philosophy and Social Science Work Office, and is the highest level, most funded, and most authoritative project in the field of humanities and social science in China. It is also a measure and important indicator of the “Double First-Class” construction and research strength of a university.
