(Correspondent: Zhao Hong) Hosted by the Chinese Society of World Economics and the Center for Transnationals' Studies of Nankai University, and undertaken by the School of International Finance of Sun Yat-sen University, the 10th International Investment Forum of the Chinese Society of World Economics was held on October 16 in Haiqin Building 6 of Sun Yat-Sen University's Zhuhai campus. The theme of this forum is two-way international investment and new development patterns. More than 100 teachers and students from over 30 universities and research institutions participated. The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by associate professor Xuezhi Zhang, associate dean of the School of International Finance of Sun Yat-sen University.

Professor Shanmin Li, vice president of Sun Yat-Sen University, delivered an opening speech for the forum. Professor Guoming Xian, vice president of the Chinese Society of World Economics, delivered a speech. He thanked the Chinese Society of World Economics, the organizers of previous forums, and colleagues in the disciplines of world economics for their support to the International Investment Forum. He pointed out that the covid-19 epidemic has severely impacted international investment and production, but China has become one of the few bright spots in international investment, which reflects China's success in fighting the epidemic. He thanked the School of International Finance of Sun Yat-sen University for overcoming the difficulties for holding this forum offline, and wished the forum a complete success.

The forum also set up five parallel forums: foreign direct investment, overseas direct investment, international investment flows, investment and trade of multinational companies, opening to the outside world and high-quality growth. Experts and scholars from colleges and universities including Sun Yat-sen University, Nankai University, Peking University, Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, Fudan University conducted comprehensive discussions on these topics.
