Assistant Professor Tian Feng of the University of Hong Kong Was Invited to Give Academic Lectures

(Correspondent: Zhong Yiming) On June 9th, Assistant Professor Tian Feng at the School of Business of the University of Hong Kong was invited to give a lecture on “Continuous-time Optimal Dynamic Contracts” for teachers and students of School of Economics. The lecture was hosted by Associate Professor Jiang Lei and commented by Assistant Professor Ding Sihua and Assistant Professor Chen Enxian. Professor Li Junqing, Professor Qiao Xiaonan, Lecturer Meng Jingyi, Assistant Professor Qiao Liang attended the lecture. Professor Wang Yongjin of Business School also attended the lecture.
In the lecture, Assistant Professor Tian Feng constructed the optimal control model based on the dynamic principal-agent environment, presented the research results of the optimal dynamic contract structure, and shared his research progress in this field. Teachers and students listened carefully to his lecture, and participated in academic exchanges actively. Also, Assistant Professor Tian Feng introduced the master’s and doctoral programs of the Business School at the University of Hong Kong, and answered the questions of students who are interested in pursuing further studies at the University of Hong Kong.
Assistant Professor Tian Feng graduated from the Department of Economics of our school in 2014, received his master’s degree from Duke University in 2016 and Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2021. At present, he is an assistant professor at the School of Business at the University of Hong Kong. His main research fields include incentive design, contract design, information design and market design. Four of his papers have been accepted or published in top international academic journals such as Management Science and Operations Research.
