Song Ligang is a professor of economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University, doctoral supervisor, and director of the China Economic Program. His research interests include international economics, economic growth, development economics, institutional economics, and the Chinese economy. He teaches courses in institutional economics and development economics for postgraduate students in economics at the school. He has published multiple academic articles in domestic and foreign academic journals. He is currently the chief editor of the China Economic Frontier Series jointly published by the Australian National University Press and the China Social Sciences Academic Press, and he also chairs the China Economic Frontier Annual Conference held at the Australian National University.
