(Correspondent: Zhong Yiming)Professor Cao Xiaoheng and Professor Li Yue participated in the Academic Seminar on Cross-Strait Economic Integration and Development from December 15th to 18th, which was held by the China Review Think Tank Foundation.

In the first part of the conference, Professor Cao Xiaoheng delivered a keynote speech on Background, Opportunities and Paths of Cross-Strait Economic Integration and Development, and introduced the preliminary results and future plans of Cross-Strait Economic Integration and Development Index.

Professor Li Yue delivered a keynote speech on The Direction and Response of Cross-Strait Economic Integration and Development in the Context of US-China Science and Technology Competition, and discussed with the relevant scholars attending the conference.

At the end of the seminar, the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research of Nankai University signed a cooperation framework agreement with the China Review Think Tank Foundation on Cross-Strait Economic Integration and Development (Index) Research, with a view to strengthening academic exchanges and deepening research on cross-strait economic integration and development.

The Taiwan Institute of Economic Research organises a research team that regularly releases the Cross-Strait Economic Integration Development Index, which is interpreted by experts, publishes the Cross-Strait Economic Integration Development Report (Blue Book), and organises small-scale Cross-Strait Economic Integration Development Seminars on a regular basis in conjunction with the China Review Intelligence Foundation, in order to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions on related issues.
