Zhou Wei, Ph.D., Managing Director & Head of Santander Consumer Finance, China. At his current role, Dr. Zhou manages the businesses of Santander Consumer Finance in China including both strategic development and established joint-ventures. Prior to this role, Dr.Zhou was General Manager of Banco Santander Beling Branch and Chief Representative of Santander Representative Office in Beijing. For those two roles, he is a key player of Santander's investments in China since 2010. Prior to being expatriated by Santander to China, Dr. Zhou worked for Santander Consumer Finance (SCF) in Madrid, Spain and NewYork, USA and he led a team to implement the best practices of risk management analytics in different countries in Europe. Prior to joining SCF, Dr.Zhou worked as Principal Consultant at MasterCard Advisors, the consulting arm of MasterCard Worldwide and Director of risk management analytics at D&B (Dun & Bradstreet). Before D&B, he was Vice President of the credit card business of JP Morgan Chase in New York City. He has multiple research publications and is often invited for speaking at conferences of risk management, CRM and predictive analytics. Dr.Zhou holds BA in international economics from Nankai University, China and Master and Ph.D. in economics from Vanderbilt University, USA.
