The speaker, Dr. Virginia Zhelyazkova, is currently a full professor in the Economic Research Institute at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with focus on circular economy and sustainable finance. She is also a professor in one of the leading private business schools in Bulgaria – VUZF University in Sofia. Parallel to academic activities, she has been the Environmental and Social Affairs Coordinator of the third largest bank in the country – Postbank. She has more than 10 years of combined experience in the area of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of finance from both academia and business.

The speaker, Dr. Nedyalko Nestorov, is an associate professor in “Economics of the Enterprise” Department of the Economic Research Institute at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has a BA in Statistics and Econometrics, a MA in Forecasting and Financial Markets, and PhD in Econometrics. His studies focus on relations between foreign trade, innovative practices of enterprises and economic growth.
