(Correspondent: Zhong Yiming) From August 25th to 30th, 2024, Associate Professor Gao Wenzheng, a faculty member of our school, attended the 76th Econometric Society European Meetings (ESEM 2024) held at Erasmus University Rotterdam in Netherlands.
At the parallel session themed “Microeconometrics,” Associate Professor Gao Wenzheng presented his paper titled “Identification and Estimation of Binary Choice Models with Social Interactions and Unknown Group Structures.” He engaged in discussions and answered questions from scholars from Europe and the United States. The paper explores how to identify and estimate binary discrete choice models with group effects using nonparametric methods, under the condition that the data does not contain information about social network structures.
This conference was organized by the Econometric Society. Founded in 1930, the Econometric Society has played a significant role in the field of economics and has long been committed to advancing rigorous economic research.
